Welcome to the webpage & Wiki of the Software Methodologies and Systems (SMS) research group at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Chalmers University of Technology.
With strong roots in computing science, the group seeks to transfer knowledge from programming methodology and program analysis to the construction of reusable high-performance systems of industrial strength. Of particular interest thereby are software libraries, a recent avenue towards the standardization of software. The group has developed library-level analyses, which, for example, assist in the safe use of the Standard Template Library and detect inconsistencies in the refactoring of (generic) libraries.
